CATCH ME healthcare apps to personalise atrial fibrillation care launched

In time for the ESC Congress 2017 in Barcelona, two healthcare apps for atrial fibrillation (AF), which have been developed by the CATCH ME consortium, are released.

These apps inform about AF and its therapy, support the healthcare professional-patient relationship and thus improve treatment of AF patients.

- The ‘AF Manager’ healthcare professional app has been designed for the dual purpose of collecting patient data upon hospital admission and to improve quality of care by prompting treatment according to the European Society of Cardiology 2016 guidelines,

- The ‘My AF’ patient app has been developed to enable the secure capture and transmission of the patient’s digital medical history, including an AF symptom diary, before each hospital visit. The app also informs about AF in general, with information produced in collaboration with the British Heart Foundation, the European Society of Cardiology and AF patients.
